Your ceremony is one of the most important parts of your special day, you shouldn’t settle for anything less than perfection when it comes to your wedding venue. Attached to Mounton Brook Lodge, is our beautiful licensed ceremony barn called The Old Forge.
The Old Forge Ceremony Barn – a beautiful 17th Century stone barn style building that was once a former blacksmiths, is licensed to hold ceremonies of up to 100 guests. It is infused with a truly lovely atmosphere and styled in the most natural and charming way with its exposed stone walls, beautiful high vaulted ceiling, rustic beams, atmospheric lighting and sweeping neutral drapes that create a soft romantic ambience, making it the ideal place to say those magical words and exchange your vows.
We will set up the area for the ceremony, provide a meeting room for the registrar and a table and with chairs for the registrars in the ceremony room.

A beautiful 17th Century stone building that is licensed for up to 95 guests. With a truly lovely atmosphere and styled in the most natural and charming way with its exposed stone walls, beautiful high vaulted ceiling, rustic beams and pretty lighting.

IDEAL FOR LARGER CEREMONIES
Arch Window Reception Room
Licensed to hold up to 160 guests, our large reception room is ideal for larger civil ceremonies, partnerships and blessings.

We also welcome LGTB marriages, Civil Partnerships, Humanist Ceremonies, Christenings, Naming Ceremonies, Funerals, Blessings and Renewal of Vows.
Please note – The registrar will arrive approximately 30/45 minutes before your ceremony. A short interview is conducted with the bride and groom separately in a private area. The Registrars will make an additional charge to come out to the venue on the day.
It is mindful to note that the date and time of your ceremony needs to be agreed with them at the same time as booking The Old Forge Ceremony Barn or The Courtyard.

Mounton Brook Lodge with its high vaulted beam ceilings is a lovely space, it’s perfect for both the wedding meal and reception celebrations. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that has it all, you’ve found the right place. Our friendly and experienced team will cater for your every need, from providing tasty canapés and celebratory drinks in our charming Courtyard, to an indulgent feast for up to 180 guests as well as an unforgettable night of fun, flair and dancing within the heart of the beautiful Lodge.
Mounton Brook Lodge is light, airy and spacious. Following a remarkable renovation, the beautiful exterior and a stunning interior have brought Mounton Brook Lodge back to life.
Mounton Brook Lodge retains much authenticity, including exposed stone walls, mellow wood beams and beautiful high vaulted ceilings in which beautiful chandeliers are placed giving that dramatic feel.
We think that it’s important for your wedding venue to look stunning which is why every single area of the Lodge is styled to perfection, with classic, rustic features a common theme throughout. Please feel free to come along and personlise the reception room with your own styling and props.
The charming Courtyard can be the place where you can enjoy welcome drinks and photos with your guests, and the place you return to as you mingle with friends and family against a sunset backdrop and twinkling fairy lights.
With soft pretty string lighting throughout the vaulted ceiling, in the evening, Mounton Brook Lodge transforms to a truly spectacular venue for an evening reception for up to 350 guests! Most importantly, you’ll be able to enjoy every moment of your reception, as your wedding coordinator will look after your every need, ensuring your day runs to perfection.

A delicious three course wedding breakfast meal with waiting staff plus a tea and coffee station.

A Taste of Wales – a delicious three course wedding breakfast meal with waiting staff plus a tea and coffee served to the table.

All prices above are per guest, minimum numbers apply. Saturday a minimum of 80 Adults / Friday a minimum of 60 Adults. Sunday to Thursday we are flexible. Eves of Bank Holidays will be charged as a Saturday. If your numbers are below the minimum required we would be pleased to discuss options and ideas. Children up to 12yrs charged at 50% of the package price.
All prices are inclusive of VAT. Please be advised that prices will increase by 5% on all packages shown for 2029 / 2030.

Set up Day
Hire the venue the day before your wedding to decorate and add those important personal touches. All set up days must be confirmed at time of booking your wedding day with us, as we cannot guarantee it will be available at a later date. Accommodation is available for the night before if booked alongside the set up day.
